The Leather Jacksy
How We Make Leather Jackets
At The Leather Jacksy, every jacket starts with the leather itself. We carefully select high-quality hides, usually cowhide or lambskin, and inspect each piece for strength, texture, and consistency. The leather is then cleaned, tanned, and treated to ensure durability while keeping it soft and flexible.
Once the leather is ready, it’s measured and marked for cutting. Our skilled craftsmen cut each piece according to precise patterns, making sure every panel fits perfectly. The cutting stage is critical any mistake can affect the jacket’s shape and fit.
After cutting, each piece is stitched together by hand or with specialized machines. We pay close attention to seam strength, stitch consistency, and alignment. Linings, zippers, buttons, and other hardware are added carefully, with checks at every stage to maintain quality.
Throughout the process, jackets are inspected multiple times to ensure durability, proper shape, and comfort. On average, making a single jacket takes several hours of focused work, combining manual craftsmanship with careful machine assistance.
